alia will always hold a special place in our hearts, as this was the first of our designs in baskets. created from various motifs that have long been used in the traditional crafts of bangladesh, alia is subtle beauty - it is all in the details. she is also named after one of our first artisans. 

as with all our wares, alia has been designed in australia and hand crafted from start to finish by our women artisans, living and working within their families, communities and, land; women earning a fair living wage, in keeping with the fair trade partnerships we are honoured to hold. your purchase translates directly to orders and employment for our artisans.
