ripa wall hanging was inspired from and created of various motifs that have long been used in traditional jute crafts of bangladesh. sitting on a sturdy, circular frame, ripa will bring a richness & tactility to your walls, one that begs to be touched and felt by those walking past. crafted from thick, tightly-plaited braids, it brings about a playful lightness, whilst being a solid constructed piece of art. ripa is also named after one of the first artisans working with us. 

as with all our wares, ripa has been designed in australia and hand crafted from start to finish by our women artisans, living and working within their families, communities and, land in bangladesh; women earning a fair living wage, in keeping with the fair trade partnership we are proud to hold. your purchase translates directly to orders and employment for our artisans.
